Our Antique Chests are mainly tribal pieces and were traditionally made to be presented as part of a wedding dowry. They are made from Acacia or Teak wood with the more beautiful pieces being made in Saurashtra, Patan & Kutch in Gujarat. We also have Merchants' Chests in Teak & Rosewood from Goa & Kerala. The pieces date from the late 19th and early 20th century.
