Our Mirrors are all made from 18th & 19th Century Temple or Haveli doorways and windows or made up from antique lintels or architectural fretwork. We also have beautiful smaller mirrors made from tribal shutters & antique Hindu shrines.
Large Mirrors all made from 18th & 19th Century Haveli & Temple Doorways. Pieces from Gujarat & Kerala are generally with faded, distressed paint colours. Mirror Doorways from Rajasthan are in natural pale gold wood with carving. In India, architectural doorways and windows were tradtionally carved in teak, acacia, jack fruit and rohida woods.
