A beautiful and unusual coffee table with glass top, adapted from an antique bridal palanquin from Jodhpur, Rajasthan. A palanquin was traditionally used to carry a bride in procession to the marriage ceremony. This piece is made from Rohida wood and has a strung charpoi seat (not the original stringing). The palanquin dates from circa 1890.
